Assertive China
Hello Lovely People Around the World, Today we are gonna talk about One of the Asian Giants or it won't be wrong if we say sole superpower of Asia. You guessed it right. It's none other than CHINA.
Information on china
More or Less we all know about china. It has the highest population in the world, which is approximately 1.4 billion and counting. It is one of the superpowers in the fields of Trade, Technology, Military, Space and in many more fields. It won't be wrong if we say China is the rising superpower which will hold a firm position in years to come. China is not just an emerging economy but has surely backed to its status as a major world economic power, which accounted for nearly 30 percent of the world economy in the 15th and 16th centuries.
But The Picture is not that glorified as it sounds, like making of every big city there are thousands of labours, slum dwellers who doesn't have the same luxury and live outskirt of the city, rather a gloomy picture what we don't get to see, but that's there. China is no exception.China’s remarkable pattern of economic growth coincides with the series of reforms introduced by Chinese paramount leader Deng Xiaoping in the late 1970s. In 1978, Deng launched the reform and opening-up policy which paved the way for China's rapid growth and development in the following decades. Deng was a staunch communist who aspired to achieve China's rejuvenation. On the domestic front, he implemented bold reforms. Internationally, he took steps to open China up to the world. Then the establishment of Special Economic Zones (SEZs) and Industrial Clusters in the coastal provinces helped China to be the next manufacturing hub. From 1978 to the mid-2000s, the coastal areas attracted most of foreign direct investment FDIs and created millions of jobs. As the coastal provinces became a growth pole, workers from hinterland migrated there to seek better-paid jobs. With a shift away from agriculture, Chinese people moved to the cities for better opportunities, jobs and betterment of livelihood. In the 1980s, agriculture was a larger part of the Chinese economy than industry (e.g. construction and manufacturing) and services (e.g. healthcare, banking and finance, education). Now, agriculture sank to less than 10% of the economy. It would not be an exaggeration to say that without systematic and inhuman exploitation of migrant workers China would never have achieved such a fast rate of growth. For nearly two decades, it seemed that China had inexhaustible surplus labor. But signs of labor shortage started to emerge in the mid-2000s. Since 2004, wages for unskilled workers have had double digit growth rates, indicating China perhaps has passed the Lewis turning point, when the supply of surplus labour from rural areas, for employment in cities, is exhausted, from which the era of surplus labor is over.

Communism and its impact
Communism is the political and economic doctrine that doesn't support private ownership in favor of the state controlling the means of production in an effort to create economic equality and end the exploitation of workers. China remains the economic powerhouse among communist countries, ruled by a single party – the Communist Party of China. On economic policies, the country implements controlled capitalism. The country has been moving towards further opening its economy to private investment and enterprise. That growth is based on manufacturing, exports and low-paid labor, the World Bank reported. The metric used in Income inequality, the Gini coefficient, would be zero in a society in which all income is equally distributed, while a score of one would reflect a society in which all income is concentrated in the hands of a single individual. Over a three-decade period starting in 1980—shortly after China’s economic reform and opening commenced—the Gini coefficient has grown from 0.3 to 0.55 in 2010. The growing wealth disparity that accompanied China’s breakneck growth has increased the risk of social instability in the world’s most populous nation. China is minting more millionaires than any other emerging economy, according to Asia-Pacific Wealth Report. The ruling Communist Party has also sought to check the activities of online commentators and arrested micro-bloggers on charges of spreading false rumors. China’s government censors its Internet heavily, blocking websites such as Facebook and deleting postings on Social media platforms that it deems a threat to social stability. China's curb on free speech and public media publication is still far away than what developed countries enjoy. To suppress the resentment of citizens, China has always diverted their attention towards foreign issues and internal matters. Matters e.g. Repression of Uyghur Muslims in Xinjiang provinces, Hong Kong extradition bill, Claiming of Taiwan as Part of Integral China, Nine dash line and Maritime Boundary in the South China Sea, Senkaku Island dispute with Japan, Border dispute with India. These are just a few disputes to name from what China is engaged with.
By Provocations and incitements tactics on other sovereign territory, China is trying to appease it's nationals, so that dictatorial one party states might take hold of the regime. Assertion of Territory should not be escalated by China, which will bring more tensions in the region. It's prudent to choose peaceful coexistence rather than encroachment and conquer of lands.
